  1. What is Albert's Ambry?
  2.  
  3.      Albert's Ambry is a shareware store residing on the Internet 
  4. that provides you access to a large number of shareware programs. 
  5. This is a try-before-you-buy store, so you can download any 
  6. shareware package they have in their library and try it out. 
  7. After trying it out you can register it at Albert's Ambry if you 
  8. should decide to do so. You can also register MicroCook there 
  9. even if you downloaded it at an other BBS or Internet site. All 
  10. you need is a valid credit card. And of course Albert's Ambry is 
  11. a 24-hour store allowing you to register whenever you like. 
  12.      
  13.      There has been a lot of media coverage regarding the 
  14. security of the Internet and Web. Some of it is true.  Other 
  15. things are not. When you transmit the credit card numbers to 
  16. Albert's Ambry, or any other Web store, it is sent in many small 
  17. packages. And all packages do not necessarily go the same route. 
  18. Package 1 might go through route 1, package 2 through route 47, 
  19. and package 3 through route 33. So the chance that someone could 
  20. intercept the transmission to Albert's Ambry and get the WHOLE 
  21. credit card number, your name, and the expiration date is VERY 
  22. small. Someone has a better chance finding your credit card 
  23. number on a receipt from a store than from Cyberspace. Albert's 
  24. Ambry does NOT store your credit card number on their server, 
  25. only the transaction. So if a cyber-thief should get through 
  26. their specially designed and very secure firewall, he cannot find 
  27. it. Only a lot of shareware!

  29.      When you register MicroCook at Albert's Ambry you don't 
  30. need to download MicroCook again, unless you have an older 
  31. version. In the registered ZIP file are a generic KEY file, an 
  32. additional 2000 recipes, and the database repair utility MCDBFIX.  
  33. The file you'll download when you register is called MCOOKREG.ZIP.
  34. Just copy it to the same directory as where you keep your other
  35. MicroCook program files and unzip it. That's all. Please do NOT
  36. upload, give away copies, or distribute copies of the MCOOKREG.ZIP
  37. file. It's ONLY for registered users.

  39.      If you want to get a personalized KEY file, where YOUR name 
  40. will be printed on the bottom line in the MicroCook editor, 
  41. please send e-mail to NORSKi Software with an approximate date 
  42. when you registered with Albert's Ambry. Please specify the name
  43. to use in the KEY file. I'll then e-mail instructions back on how
  44. to create the KEY file with MicroCook.
